In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2015, notice is given of a change to the previously advertised Ordinary meeting of the Council on 19 September 2022.
The recipients of Waratah-Wynyard Council’s Round 1 Community Activation Grants for 2022-23 have been announced, with several community facilities to receive funds for upgrades and two community events also being supported by this grant round.

Access to the Inglis River boat ramp, adjacent to the Wynyard Yacht Club, will be closed from 7am Friday 2 September until 6pm Saturday 3 September, inclusive. The closure allows
Council has been advised that a large tree has fallen on Nelsons Road and a contractor will be onsite to clear the damage as quickly as possible. The road will remain closed until the tree has been safely removed. Thank you for your understanding.
Works are commencing this coming Monday 22 August at the Oonah Road bridge over the Cam River. It is expected that only minimal traffic disruption will occur as there will be a by-pass bridge installed to detour by the bridge replacement works. Thank you for your understanding.
Wynyard’s world-class Francis Ransley Veteran Car Collection has been sold to the Elphinstone Group.
The collection, which has been the cornerstone attraction at the multi-award winning Wonders of Wynyard Exhibition and Visitor Information Centre since its opening in 2005, represents a life’s passion for former owner, veteran car enthusiast and restorer, Francis Ransley OAM and his wife Elayne.
Council has received community feedback suggesting that a public toilet is desired within Yolla. The closest public toilet to Yolla is within the Somerset CBD which is approximately 17 minutes’ drive by car. If travelling south past Yolla, the next closest toilet is another 27 minutes’ drive and located at the Hellyer Gorge Rest Stop. This means that at a minimum, travellers heading south from Somerset will need to travel at least 44 minutes before reaching a toilet, depending on the route chosen.
